We have four new photos of the royal cutie!
Looks who's three! Prince George is celebrating his big day today, July 22. He is having a private birthday party (I am slightly offended I wasn't invited), but William and Kate shared some sweet new photos of their little guy. And of course in all the photos he's wearing his signature shorts—this outfit is from Pepa & Co and the shoes are Trotters.
Photo: Kensington Royal via TwitterThe photos were taken at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, in mid-July and show George enjoying the great outdoors. Look how daring he is. And also check out the names on the swing. Wonder if it was a wedding gift for William and Kate?
Fashion note: George's striped shirt is from Sunuva and it has already sold out. Gotta love the Prince George effect.
Photo: Kensington Royal via TwitterKensington Palace released the four photos that were taken by photographer Matt Porteous. The Palace says "The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs. They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday."
Photo: Kensington Royal via TwitterThis one may be my favourite—George and the family dog Lupo. Hey, Lupo, want some ice cream? This reminds me of this photo.
Kensington Palace captured the photo, "Can’t believe it’s been three years already!" I couldn't agree more.
Can we just talk about how big George has gotten? And how blonde! Remember him as a baby?
Photo: Michael Middleton/Getty ImagesHe was so wee and bald. But those cheeks were already chubby and adorable.
Prince George's second birthday photo. Kensington Palace (@kensingtonroyal via Twitter)It's been a pretty busy year for George. He started nursery school, he went on a ski holiday with the fam...oh, and he met Barack Obama while wearing a monogrammed robe. You know, average life events for a toddler.
George is quite an adventurous little guy—he loves trucks, helicopters and motorbikes. He's already playing tennis—he must have inherited his skills on the court from mom. And he's a big fan of dinosaurs.
But he's also the future king and he's already preparing for the role.
On Saturday, Prince George attended his second royal engagement in as many weeks, this time celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Special Air Services. At the event near Hereford, George along with Will and Kate unveiled a statue and met retired members of the regiment. So far there have been no photos released of the event.
His two recent engagements in the UK are just the first of many. In June, both George and Princess Charlotte were added to the Royal Diary and Court Circular, which list any engagement the royals attend. Clearly, both George and Charlotte will be attending more royal events in the future—which means more photos of the cuties. But, it's also a sign that they're not normal kids, they are little royals with responsibilities. Kind of crazy, right?
But I for one am very excited to see more of George. And his amazing facial expressions. Happy birthday George! I hope you have a magical day.
Prince George might be the happiest birthday boy around. On his fifth birthday, William and Kate released this cheery photo of their son taken in the Clarence House gardens during Prince Louis’s christening two weeks earlier. It’s rumoured the family spent George’s actual big day on holiday in Mustique with the Middletons. Hopefully George enjoyed a big ice cream sundae on the beach!
Photo: Matt PorteousWhen the Cambridge family arrived at Prince Louis’s christening on July 9, they were all making some pretty funny faces. Charlotte means business and Kate clearly is just hoping everyone behaves during the 40-minute service. And George? He is plotting something!
Photo: Dominic Lipinski/Pool Photo via APWhile Charlotte was clutching her program (nobody better try to take that from her), George was clearly thinking about the cake he was going to enjoy back at Clarence House. Do you think knew it was seven-year-old fruitcake from his parents’ wedding?
Photo: Dominic Lipinski/Pool Photo via APIt’s fair to say that Prince George is LOVING being a big brother to Prince Louis. In these official christening photos, George has the biggest grin out of anyone in the royal family.
Photo: Matt HolyoakAt the 2018 Trooping of the Colour, the Queen’s great-grandchildren were at the front of the balcony enjoying the airshow and being a bit silly. Apparently Savannah Phillips wasn’t enjoying Prince George’s antics and covered his mouth. You may be the future king George, but you still are the younger cousin—sorry! He clearly thought it was quite funny.
Photo: Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images…or did he? George saw something at Trooping the Colour that caused him to make this funny, startled face.
Photo: Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty ImagesGeorge was soon back to his giggly self! Is this not just the cutest?
Photo: Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty ImagesThe royal wedding may have been a wee bit too much for Prince George. After the ceremony, the royal family followed the bride and groom out of the chapel. George was holding his dad’s hand and looked a bit tired and unsure. Maybe he was hungry and just ready for a slice of cake? Whatever the reason, his chubby cheeks make this expression so much cuter.
Photo: Brian Lawless - WPA Pool/Getty ImagesLook, George is smiling. Actually he is grinning from ear to ear. He was looking a little tired after the royal wedding but for the official wedding portraits something made him perk up—and that something is Smarties. The photographer sort of bribed the kids with the sweet treat to get them to smile and we don’t blame him.
Photo: Alex LubomirskiPrince George is a big brother—again. On April 23, George and Charlotte went to meet their new baby brother. While Charlotte was waving to the cameras and looking excited, George seemed apprehensive. He had a long day at school so he was probably a bit tired. And really, wouldn’t you give the same pensive look if a bunch of cameras greeted you when you got out of the car. I think this is George’s future serious king look.
Photo: Karwai Tang/WireImageOn September 7, Prince George had his very first day of elementary school at Thomas’s Battersea. George arrived in his adorable uniform clutching his dad’s hand and looking quite nervous. Starting school is scary enough, but unfortunately Kate couldn’t come with George because she was pregnant with Louis and suffering from extreme morning sickness. The little prince looked like he has missing his mom’s comforting presence in this moment.
Photo: Richard Pohle - WPA Pool/Getty ImagesBefore heading out for his first day of school, father and son posed on the steps of Kensington Palace for this sweet snap—and George looked much happier! I am sure Kate was here for this moment which was a big comfort for her little guy.
Photo: Courtesy of Kensington Palace via TwitterFor Chirstmas 2017, the Cambridges released this adorable (and blue!) family portrait to wish everyone a happy holiday. And look at George’s pose—his one leg lifted up, his one hand grabbing his dad’s arm and his hesitant but sweet smile. What a cutie!
Photo: Courtesy of Kensington Palace via TwitterPrince George is all smiles for his fourth birthday in this official portrait taken at Kensington Palace. Look at all his sweet teeth and those hazel eyes. George is looking more and more like dad, but he seems to have Uncle Harry’s impish personality.
Photo: Chris Jackson/GettyOn the eve of his fourth birthday, Prince George got a special treat. He got to fly in a helicopter with his family as they left Hamburg after their royal tour of Poland and Germany. George’s adorable pose here looks like he’s saying “For me? You shouldn’t have.” Hint to mum and dad: I think George would like his own helicopter for his birthday!
Photo: EPA/CARSTEN KOALLPrince George has a bit of a habit of looking a wee bit glum when he gets off planes. He looked unimpressed on his first royal tour when he arrived in New Zealand and his adorable grumpy face was back when he arrived in Germany on July 19. We can’t blame him—plane rides aren’t our favourite either.
Photo: PA Photos LimitedPrince George is just not loving this jetsetting life. Someone get this little royal down for a nap, stat!
Photo: Rex FeaturesGeorge still looked a little unsure after getting off the plane in Berlin, but he grabbed onto both mum and dad’s hands and seemed to look a little less scared. Also how cute is his little button down tee!
Photo: Rex FeaturesOn July 17, Prince George arrived in Poland to start his third royal tour and he looked a bit tired. The press called him “the reluctant royal,” but we think he’s just a typical preschooler who is bored and would rather be playing with his toys.
Photo: REX/ShutterstockShaking hands and talking to dignitaries isn’t Prince George’s favourite activity. Hopefully he grows to love it.
Photo: PA Photos LimitedPrince Georgre served as a page boy in his Aunt Pippa’s wedding in May 2017. He wore satin green knickerbockers for the occassion. As George entered the church he turned around to give the press quite a look. It’s like he’s saying, “Don’t mock my trousers—I can totally pull these off.”
Photo: EPA all rights reservedAs George left the wedding with mum Kate and Charlotte, he could be seen waving to the crowds and cameras. He’s only three and George is already a natural at this royalty thing.
Photo: Justin Tallis/Pool PhotoThis is the face of a little boy who had a very good Christmas. George along with Kate, William and Charlotte headed to the local church in Bucklebury for Christmas Day service in 2016. But after the service, he was very happy to get a candy cane. The little prince looked quite grown-up in his pea coat—could you stop getting so big, George?
Photo: Rex FeaturesAfter a week of fun in Canadain the fall of 2016, Prince George gave Canadians the cheeriest goodbye.
Photo: Rex FeaturesThere was a lot of waving to be done as George said farewell to all the people who came to see the royal family off. The little prince couldn’t help but make a few silly faces.
Photo: The Canadian Press/Jonathan HaywardAt a children’s party in Victoria, George was SO excited to play with bubbles. He’s the bubble king.
Photo: Canadian PressGeorge was basically in a trance he was so amazed by all the bubbles.
Photo: The Canadian Press/Jonathan HaywardAfter all the bubble excitement, George needed a little cuddle from dad. And William was of course happy to oblige.
Photo: Courtesy fo Kensington Palace via InstagramGeorge was in his element at the party where there was a petting zoo, balloon animals (George wanted a volcano and a spider) and music. Party on, George.
Photo: REX FeaturesAt just three, George was already embarking on his second royal tour.—an eight-day tour of Canada’s west coast in the fall of 2016. George was quite excited when he arrived and saw something cool in the sky.
Photo: PA Photos Limited courtesy of Canadian PressThere was a lot of people and cameras when George arrived in Victoria, so the little prince was understandably overwhelmed. After Justin Trudeau asked George for a high-five and he refused, William bent down to see how his son was doing and give him a little pep talk.
Photo: Rex FeaturesWhen the family arrived in Victoria, it was actually after midnight in London, so George was very tired.
Photo: Tim Rooke/Rex/ShutterstockSomeone get Georgie a pillow because he is ready for bed.
Photo: Action press courtesy of Canadian PressGeorge eventually rallied and gave the cameras a big grin—and he showed off his sweet knees. We love your knee socks, George.
Photo: Action press courtesy of Canadian PressI think Prince George is up to something. William and Kate released four adorable photos of George for his third birthday. And in this one George is clearly planning something. You can just see his little mind at work and the start of a serious smirk on his face. Oh, George!
Photo: Courtesy of Kensington Palace via TwitterIn July 2016, George had his very first royal engagement in the UK and got to see all kinds of cool planes. George was clearly very impressed as he gave the day a thumbs-up. Look at the angle of his chin and his little swagger—he’s got this future king thing down.
Photo: Ministry of Defence via TwitterIn June 2016, George attended his second Trooping the Colour, and this time Charlotte joined the fun. George was clearly blown away by the airshow. And those teeth are so cute.
Photo: Kensington Royal via InstagramJust an average day in the life of a future king—meeting the president of the United States. And while most adults would be quite honoured to meet Barack, George looks like he’s wondering “Who is this guy? Can I go to bed now? Why isn’t he wearing a monogrammed robe?”
Photo: Kensington Palace via TwitterIn celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday (on April 21, 2016), a special photo was taken of her and her three heirs. The photo was actually taken in 2015, but wasn’t released until just before her big day. Doesn’t George look incredibly proud? It’s like he knew this photo would become a postage stamp.
Photo: British Monarchy via FacebookThe celebrations for the Queen’s 90th continued with a photo released of Her Majesty with her youngest grandchildren and all her great-grandchildren, who call her Gan-Gan. We had to zoom in, though, to capture George’s face. All the parents were behind the camera trying to make the kids smile—George is clearly wondering what on earth they are all doing.
Photo: British Monarchy via FacebookIn March 2016, the Cambridges went on their first vacation as a family of four. They went on a skiing holiday in the Alps and George and Charlotte got to have fun in the snow. Though you can’t really tell that from this photo. George looks like he’s being told to smile, but he’s really not feeling it, probably because it’s cold and the snow is in his face.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramJust before Christmas 2015, the Cambridges released an adorable family photo. George is clearly up to something and William knows it. He’s watching George like a hawk and is prepared to intercept if the tot makes a grab for his train.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramOn January 6, 2016, George had his very first day of nursery school. And he looked a wee bit unsure about the whole thing. He’s trying to smile and look happy, but he can’t hide his nerves.
Photo: @KensingtonRoyal via TwitterIn celebration of George’s second birthday, William and Kate released this photo from Princess Charlotte’s christening. George is looking seriously cheeky! I think he got his mischievous nature from his Uncle Harry.
Photo: Kensington Palace via TwitterA few days after Charlotte’s christening, William and Kate released the official photos including this sweet snap of the family of four. And George’s adorable expressions continued—he looks like he’s daydreaming. And look at how he’s sweetly twirling his hair.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramAt Princess Charlotte’s christening, the family of four walked to the church together. But George was clearly the star. Holding dad’s hand, he looked a little bewildered by all the people lining the streets to see him. Or he had an itch he couldn’t reach. One of the two.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramGeorge was quite excited for his very first Trooping the Colour in June 2015—it’s the official celebration of the Queen’s birthday. He’s clearly telling mum and dad something very important.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramWhen George wasn’t watching the airshow, he was looking at his great-grandmother, the Queen. And giving her something of a sassy look. Oh George, you are such an imp.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramA few weeks after Charlotte‘s birth, Kate and William released four photos of their adorable kids. And while the other three photos are amazingly cute, this one takes the cake. George’s somber expression is a mix of “Why are you still taking my photo” and “I’m over this, please get this baby off of me.”
Photo: KensingtonRoyal via TwitterAfter Princess Charlotte was born, William drove home to pick up George and brought him to see his sister. As if meeting a new sibling wasn’t intimidating enough, George also had to pass by and wave to the huge crowd of photographers, journalists and fans waiting outside the hospital. Unsurprisingly he looked a little overwhelmed. But how cute do he and Wills look in matching blue.
Photo: Kensington Palace via InstagramJust ahead of Christmas, three new photos of George were released and it is straight up impossible to pick a favourite. At first he is a bit coy.
Photo: Clarence House via TwitterThen he’s giggly.
Photo: Clarence House via TwitterThen he’s downright regal with his little smirk. Also, look at the little Queen’s guards on his sweater vest. Yes, he’s wearing a sweater vest.
Photo: Clarence House via TwitterGeorge celebrated his first birthday privately, but William and Kate released photos of him enjoying a butterfly exhibit at the Natural History Museum. George’s face may seem rather stoic, but his arms and sauve hairstyle say it all—bow down!
Photo: British MonarchyFor George’s second royal engagement, he went to visit his namesake bilby in Australia. But George was more into the souvenir he was given—which made the perfect teething toy—than meeting the furry George. Please look at his sweet eyes. How could anyone say no to him?
Photo: Getty ImagesMost of George’s facial expressions are funny, but this one is pure love. He had just woken up from a nap and was on his way to his very first royal playdate in New Zealand. But first he needed a little hug from mum before he could join the fun.
Photo: British MonarchyEven George is in awe of Kate‘s hair. He couldn’t resist grabbing at it during his first official royal engagment. Can’t say we blame him—it’s so shiny.
Photo: Getty ImagesWhen William, Kate and George exited the airplane at the start of their tour of New Zealand in 2014, all anyone could talk about was grumpy George. But wouldn’t you be a bit grumpy if you had just gotten off a long flight and were now having to smile at the crowds, when you really just wanted a nap? I feel ya, George. Also, look at his adorable pouty lips.
Photo: British MonarchyPrince George is not impressed at his royal christening. Now, the grumpy look may be thanks in part to his adorable chubby cheeks and lack of neck, which make him look kind of angry. Or he could just be uncomfortable in the family’s heirloom christening gown.
