Listen, when you include a little prince and princess in your wedding, they will inevitably steal all the attention. But Auntie Pippa seems totally fine with that!
Today (May 20), Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, married her boyfriend James Matthews at a local church in Berkshire.
Prince George served as a pageboy and Princess Charlotte was a bridesmaid. And the pair, of course, had all the attention on them. When they arrived at the church, the siblings were seen having a little chat and George helped Charlotte arrange her heart-shaped flowers.
The royal siblings looked beyond cute in their custom outfits designed by one of Kate’s favourite children’s designers, Pepa & Co.
Charlotte looked sweet as can be in a white dress with a soft pink bow (that matched mum’s outfit) and a flower crown in her hair.
George looked quite regal in his satin green trouser shorts and a white Peter Pan collar shirt with green buttons. I can’t imagine most tots wearing this outfit, but he looks quite cute and very British!
Kate, looking beautiful in Alexander McQueen, guided all the pageboys and bridesmaids into the church. Prince William had arrived at the church earlier with his brother Harry.
At one point, Kate put her finger to her lips telling the children to “Shhh!” Don’t mess with Duchess Kate, kids.
Here is Kate leading George in his white tights, into the church. Kate had said she was “a bit worried” about how her kids would behave at the wedding, but they were on their best behaviour during the ceremony.
Though Charlotte gave the cameras quite a look when she entered the church!
And George is definitely saying something to the crowds outside—”pipe down out there, didn’t you hear my Mum tell everyone to be quiet.”
Once in the church, Kate and Charlotte were very excited to see Pippa coming towards them.
If you’re wondering, Pippa is wearing a Giles Deacon gown with a mini tiara designed by the same jeweller who made Kate’s wedding earrings.
George walked out of the church with the rest of the pageboys and bridesmaids, but Charlotte was a little overwhelmed and hung back with her mum. Kate could be seen crouching down to chat with her daughter after the ceremony.
The attention also got to be a bit too much for George who he had a tiny meltdown (totally normal!). Kate was seen leading him away from the other kids for a bit of a talking to. She quickly calmed him down and George happily got in the car to head off to the reception. Crisis averted—well done, Kate.
George and Charlotte attended the lunch after the ceremony, but the big party tonight is for adults only! The kids will head back home to Kensington Palace with their nanny, Maria.
BYE says George!
