Guess who's one?
Princess Charlotte celebrates her first birthday on May 2, and William and Kate have of course shared new pics of their cutie. Look how sassy she is! And she looks to really enjoy the book, The Wheels on the Bus.Photo: Kensington Palace (Via Twitter)
There are four adorable new photos of the little royal cutie at home in Norfolk. The picture were taken by Kate, who you'll remember took the first photos of Charlotte that were released when she was a few weeks old.Photo: Kensington Palace (Via Twitter)
Whatchu looking at?
She looks SO much like George. Anyone else see it? And I love the little bow. So cute! Her hair has gotten so long and blonde—just like daddy.Photo: Kensington Palace (Via Twitter)
And look who's walking! You go, Charlotte. If you look closely you can see the Cambridge's dog, Lupo, in the background.
The little royal cutie isn't even one and she already has a defined style—well, Kate does for her. She likes pretty smock dresses with ruffled necklines, which she pairs with matching tights and sweaters. So cute.
Prince George Pieces, a website dedicated to the fashions of George and Charlotte, has confirmed that Charlotte's blue dress is by m&h (she's worn the Spanish company's dresses in all her other official photos). Her pink sweater is also m&h and the ivory cardigan is Olivier Baby. Her navy shoes are by Early Days and her pink and blue bows, as well as her tights are by Amaia kids.
Charlotte is spending her big day with family—mum, dad, George, the Middletons and Charles and Camilla. Uncle Harry is missing her birthday because he's in Toronto (!!!) launching the 2017 Invictus Games (side note: If you're reading this Harry, let's grab lunch while you're in town). Charlotte will also make a special visit to see her Gan-Gan, the Queen.
We won't see any pictures of Charlotte's birthday party (William and Kate are fiercely private of their kids) so we have to enjoy these cute pics.
You'll remember George's first birthday pictures were similarly informal—just George exploring the world. George, in a pair of adorable Petit Bateau overalls, got to check out the butterfly exhibit with his parents at the History Museum. I do wish we got to see Wills and Kate in these photos. Or George.
It's hard to believe it's been a year since we got our first glimpse of Charlotte. Kate, looking amazing in a Jenny Packham dress, held Charlotte, who at the time was just the Princess of Cambridge (her name was announced two days later). Little Charlotte slept through her big public debut, blissfully unaware of the frenzy she caused around the world. Everyone wanted a glimpse of the Princess—and wanted to know where she got her sweet bonnet (it was from Spanish boutique Irulea and a gift from her nanny). Just hours old and already a fashion icon.
Since then we've learned a few things about Charlotte. William describes her as very "ladylike." And he revealed that she was already walking at 11 months. And best of all, she's quite a good football player. Hey, she doesn't have to be Queen, so she can totally be a footballer.
We hope Charlotte has a great first birthday—though I'm sure William and Kate are the ones really enjoying it. And George probably appreciates all the cake. Take a look back at Charlotte's cutest moments—the picture with the stuffed dog is my personal favourite. We can't wait to see more of this little cutie.
On April 23, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child—Prince Louis. Charlotte was extremely cute and stylish for her first day of nursery school on January 8, 2018. Before heading off to school, Kate snapped these photos of her two-year-old daughter on the steps of Kensington Palace. Charlotte’s favourite colour is pink so of course she chose a pink polka dot backpack.Photo: The Duchess of Cambridge courtesy of Kensington Palace
William, Kate, George and Charlotte wished everyone a very happy holiday with this Christmas card in 2017. Dressed in matching blue, the family looked picture perfect, but as usual it was Charlotte who stole the show with her adorable crouched pose and little grin.Photo: Courtesy of Kensington Palace via Twitter
In July 2017, the Cambridges embarked on a mini tour of Poland and Germany and it was clear right from the beginning that Charlotte was going to be the center of attention. Prince George isn’t the only one who loves helicopters and planes. Before the family left Germany, they got to explore a helicopter and Charlotte was clearly delighted to go inside the vehicle.Photo: Jane Barlow/PA Images via Getty Images
When Pippa Middleton got married, she made sure both her niece and nephew were included in the wedding. Prince George was a pageboy and Princess Charlotte was a bridesmaid—and they both stole the show with their cuteness. As Charlotte entered the church she turned back to give a bit of side eye to the cameras.Photo: Justin Tallis/Pool Photo
Charlotte must have been getting a bit hungry after Auntie Pippa’s wedding because she was seen licking her flower basket. Someone get this girl a scone!Photo: REX/Shutterstock
Charlotte seemed a bit overwhelmed after the ceremony, but Kate was quick to kneel down and comfort her daughter. Can we all take a minute to admire Charlotte’s amazing flower crown!Photo: Justin Tallis/Pool Photo
Look how long her hair is! Kate and William shared this adorable picture of Charlotte ahead of her second birthday on May 2. The photo was taken in April by Kate at the family’s country home, Anmer Hall. Doesn’t Chrlotte look like such a country girl in her knitted sheep sweater.Photo: Duchess of Cambridge via Kensington Palace
Charlotte was pretty excited on Christmas morning—I mean look at that face! Charlotte, along with Kate, William, George, granny Carole, grandpa Michael, Uncle James and Auntie Pippa all went to church on Christmas morning in 2016. Charlotte and George were so good during the service that they got candy canes.Photo: PA Images
As the Cambridges landed in Victoria for the start of their royal tour in 2016, Charlotte slyly reached over to grab Kate’s heirloom maple leaf broach. Smart kid!PHOTO: REX/SHUTTERSTOCK
The trip to Canada was Charlotte’s very first royal tour and she was a wee bit overwhelmed by all the attention. Thankfully mummy Kate was there to comfort her. And can we talk about how cute Charlotte’s signature bow is?PHOTO: REX FEATURES COURTESY OF CANADIAN PRESS
Princess Charlotte attended her very first royal engagement while she was in Canada—a children’s party. When Charlotte arrived, she was quick to race away from William and Kate to check out all the fun. She was in love with the balloons and was heard yelling “pop,” while trying to lift the archway.PHOTO: REX FEATURES
We’d seen Charlotte in public a handful of times, but this was the first time we saw her adorable grin! It was worth the wait. This little girl clearly loves balloons.PHOTO: THE CANADIAN PRESS/JONATHAN HAYWARD
Charlotte loved all the animals at the party—a dog named Moose, ponies and of course this bunny named Smores.PHOTO: THE CANADIAN PRESS/POOL-CHRIS WATTIE
After exploring the petting zoo, Charlotte and Kate checked out the musician. Kate helped Charlotte sway to the music and encouraged her to play her little tambourine.PHOTO: COURTESY OF KENSINGTON ROYAL VIA TWITTER

“Do you see all the people, Mum?”
Charlotte has already mastered the royal wave! She gave a sweet wave to all the people who came to say goodbye to her and her family. And can we talk abotu her adorable cheeks?PHOTO: THE CANADIAN PRESS/JONATHAN HAYWARD
In June 2016, Charlotte got to attend her first Trooping the Colour—the official celebration of the Queen’s birthday. Charlotte was too cute in a pink smock dress waving to the Royal Air Force flypast. Oh, and she was also trying to steal her mum’s diamond necklace.Photo: Samir Hussein/WireImage
For Charlotte’s first birthday, on May 2, William and Kate released four new photos of the royal cutie. She looks like she’s having some deep thoughts—do I want mushed peas or mushed sweet potatos for dinner?Photo: Kensington Palace via Twitter
In one of her birthday snaps, Princess Charlotte is showing off her walking skills. Mum Kate took this photo of Charlotte walking on the grounds of Anmer Hall—which is where the Cambridges live most of the time. We love how determined Charlotte looks. William says she’s already a good football player.Photo: Kensington Palace via Twitter
In April 2016, the Queen turned 90 and marked the occassion with a photo of her and her youngest grandchildren and all her great-grandchildren. This up-close shot gives you an adorable look at 10-month-old Charlotte. Her hair has gotten so long and blonde (she looks just like her dad). Love her sweet bow and the adorable M&H dress.Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
When Prince George was born, both Kate and William held him outside the hospital. But only Kate held Charlotte when she made her debut. And in all other official pictures, Kate is always holding Charlotte. So this photo from the Cambridges’ ski vacation is quite special because we got to see just Charlotte and dad Wills. Charlotte is looking more like her daddy, they have the same eyes.Photo: Kensington Royal via Twitter
The Cambridges gave us a special Christmas treat—they released their first holiday card. Charlotte wore the same dress and sweater she wore for her portrait a few weeks earlier. But this time she was missing a shoe. She’s a modern day Cinderella.Photo: Kensington Royal via Twitter
When Charlotte was six months old, William and Kate released two new photos of their little girl. And of course Kate took the photos. This one of Charlotte with her stuffy is just too cute to handle. Charlotte had grown so much since the last time we saw her—she’s sitting up. And she looks like such a little lady in her M&H dress.Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
In July 2015, we finally got a new photo of Charlotte after two long months without any pictures of the royal cutie. For her christening, the little princess was wearing the royal family’s heirloom gown and was pushed in a pram by mum Kate to the church. She looks so much like Kate here—especially in the eyes.Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
After the christening, the royal family went back to the Queen’s Norfolk estate for tea and cake. And photos! Mario Testino took this shot of Charlotte and Kate. Lottie looks a little unsure of things—get used to all the attention, kid. But Kate looks so besotted with her little girl. Love!Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
Sorry, just one more photo from the christening. Charlotte may be a princess, but she’s also a baby who just wants to sleep (or eat!) instead of have her photo taken. Look at her little fist. And that disgruntled face.Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
When Princess Charlotte was just a few weeks old, mum Kate took these photos of Lottie and big brother, George. Four photos were released, but this one of George giving Charlotte a kiss is by far the sweetest. And look at those cheeks—clearly they run in the family.Photo: Kensington Royal via Twitter
Princess Charlotte was born at 8:34 in the morning on May 2. And later that day, the Princess of Cambridge made her grand debut outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital. Charlotte was wrapped in a G.H. Hurt and Son blanket and wore a yellow bonnet that matched Kate‘s Jenny Packham dress. William and Kate were all smiles as they showed off their baby girl.Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
Despite the fact that the world was watching, Charlotte slept blissfully through her big debut. Then dad put her in the car seat and carried her to the car to take her back to Kensington Palace. Two days later, William and Kate revealed that their little girl was named Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.Photo: Kensington Royal via Instagram
