The royal family has emerged from the Lindo wing at St. Mary's Hospital. We have the details and photos!
Meet Royal Baby No. 2!
The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, and Prince William, have emerged from the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's hospital holding their new baby girl—introducing her to hordes of reporters, photographers and well-wishers, and all of us around the world! Prince William had taken Prince George to meet his sister earlier, and then sent him home to Kensington Palace before this grand emergence.
Kensington Palace announced the birth of the new princess at just 8:34 this morning (London time). Kate had arrived at St Mary’s Hospital at 6 a.m., and the baby was born just two-and-a-half hours later.
Like last time, Kate emerged from the Lindo wing in a bespoke Jenny Packham dress. But, today she opted for a fresh yellow buttercup print shift—as opposed to the blue polka-dotted homage to Diana she wore for Prince George's debut. Commentators have been oohing and ahhing at the fact that the Duchess wore high heels (beige Jimmy Choos, in case you were wondering) just hours after giving birth! The royal baby girl, in the meantime, was draped in a G.H. Hurt and Son blanket—the same brand Prince George wore for his debut. Kate and William also used the same Britax car seat to shuttle the new baby home.
Kensington Palace has just shared the following pics on Twitter—aww, look at that face!
