A year of firsts: What sponsoring a Syrian family has taught me
When I first saw that photo of Alan Kurdi on the beach, I knew I had to do something. And as part of a private sponsorship group, my family helped bring a young family of four to Canada. Their lives have changed since arriving in Canada. It’s changed ours, too.
