Roll dough into a 12 x 12-in. square. Cut into quarters, then cut each quarter into 4 smaller squares to make 16 squares total. Roll each into a ball, then form into a 5-in. rope. Tie into a knot. Repeat with remaining dough. Arrange on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Bake at 400F until golden, 13 to 16 min. Remove from oven and immediately toss with ¼ cup melted garlic butter in a large bowl. Let stand for 5 min before serving.
Melt 2/3 cup butter with 1 cup brown sugar, ⅓ cup corn syrup and 2 tsp vanilla in a small saucepan over medium. Cook, without stirring, until bubbly, about 5 min. Carefully scrape caramel into measuring cup and let cool for 15 min. Roll dough into a 12 x 16-in. rectangle. Spread half of caramel over dough. Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans. Cut lengthwise into 4 strips and cut each strip crosswise into 4 pieces to make 16 pieces in total. Spray a 9 x 5-in. loaf pan with oil. Stand the pan on one short end, with the bottom against the wall. Stack dough pieces on top of one another in pan, then lay pan bottom-side down and shake slightly. Bake at 350F until bread is deep golden, 40 to 45 min. Let stand for 5 min, then use a spatula to lift out onto a platter. Drizzle remaining caramel overtop.
Divide dough into 4 pieces. Roll each into an 8-in. circle. Divide a 213-mL can pizza sauce and 2 cups grated mozzarella among 4 pizzas. Add your favourite toppings. Bake at 425F until edges are golden, 13 to 16 min.
Easy tips:
Stuff the crust! Roll out a circle slightly larger than you need. Spread the outer edge with ricotta, and dot with pieces of prosciutto, then roll the edge over on itself, tucking the filling in. Magic!
Short on time and need dough now? Many grocery stores and bakeries—and sometimes even the local pizza place—sell balls of fresh raw dough.
Let pre-made dough rest on the counter for 15 to 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
