First photo as parents

Prince George was born on July 22, 2013. We got our first glance of the baby prince the next day when mum Kate carried him out of the hospital, with William by her side. A beaming Kate (wearing a Jenny Packham dress) said the experince was “very emotional.” William said George had quite a pair of lungs on him and that “He’s got her looks, thankfully.” So cute! Oh, and Prince William changed the first nappy. Go Daddy Wills.

George’s christening

Look at those cheeks! When George was three-months-old, he was christened during a small service only attened by family and his godparents. Kate and Wills were both seen bouncing George to keep him happy during the long service. The next day at an event, Kate revealed she was glad George was so good during the service. “He was such a good boy actually. We’re very lucky, he’s not always like that.” William said in an interview that George is a “rascal” and doesn’t like to sleep. Royal parents, they’re just like us—sleep deprived.

Kate’s first Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day (which was on March 30 in the UK), William and Kate released this adorable family photo. But George and Lupo seem like they’d rather be chatting than getting their picture taken. Also, please note George’s adorable sweater with his name on it!

Playing with mum’s hair

When William and Kate went on a royal tour of New Zealand and Australia, they brought George with them. And he stole the show (duh!). At his first group playdate in New Zealand, George played with other kids, dropped toys (and made mum pick them up) and of course, grabbed at Kate’s hair. I mean, who wouldn’t—it’s amazing hair. Look at the concentration on his face.

Trip to the zoo

In Australia, George got to meet his namesake bilby. But he wasn’t content with just looking. He tried to touch the bibly and William quipped “If he gets it, he’ll never let go.” And Kate added ‘He’s got quite a strong grab actually.” Like most parents, they are just trying to reign their baby in. But George was having none of it and proceeded to the throw the stuffed bilby he was given. Typical baby!

George is not a happy polo player

While William played a game of polo, Kate and George played around the field. But like most tots, George got cranky. And like a true mom, Kate just smiled through the tantrum.

Visiting Princess Charlotte

After Princess Charlotte was born, William raced home to bring George back to the hospital to meet his sister. Dressed in matching blue outfits, William took George out of the car and put him down to walk. But George was having none of it and reached to be picked up. William told George to wave to the crowds and then gave him a peck on the head and said “Good boy.”

Showing off their little girl

The same day Charlotte was born (May 2), Prince William and Kate showed her off to the world. Charlotte slept through the whole thing and was blissfully unaware. But Kate was concerned. “Do you think she is cold?” she asked William. “No she is fine, she is good,” he replied. They then went back inside and left the hospital hand in hand. They’re so normal.

First balcony appearance

For the Queen’s birthday, the royal family gathered on the balcony of Buckinham Palace. And Prince George joined them. Dressed in a romper that both dad and grandpa Charles wore, George waved at the crowds. William looked full of pride.

A royal run

The next day, George gave Kate a run for her money. While Dad played polo, George ran around the field with a mini polo stick and ball. Kate chased after him and tried to keep her little prince under control.

First photo of the family four

For Princess Charlotte’s christening, we got our first glimpse of the family of four. William held George’s hand, while Kate pushed Charlotte in a vintage pram. Kate managed to push the storller up a steep hill while in very high heels and she kept on smiling despite Charlotte crying before the service. What a champ!

Daddy-son time

For George’s second birthday, William and Kate released this adorable photo! William looks like he loves fatherhood and clearly appreciates his energetic son—who he says reminds him of Prince Harry!

Merry Christmas from the Cambridges

The Cambridges released their very first Christmas card last year and while Kate is all smiles, William is on to George. He clearly knows that kid is going to make a break for it and run off.

Family vacation

The family of four went on their first vacation together to the French Alps. I suspect many snowball fights were had.

Introducing George to the President

In many ways, William and Kate are normal parents. And in some ways they aren’t. For instance, they let their son stay up 15 minutes late so he can meet the President of the United States. That’s not a normal parenting experience. William looks like he’s encouraging George to say hi, but George is a little unsure. Maybe he’s questioning why mum dressed him in PJs to meet the President?!

Celebrating Gan-Gan

The Queen celebrated her 90th birthday in April 2016, but her official birthday celebration happened in June at the annual Trooping the Colour. Both George and Charlotte appeared on the balcony to celebrate the occassion. This was little Charlotte’s first balcony appearance—she seemed a little overwhelmed by it all and kept nuzzling with Mum. But George was in his element, smiling at all the planes and turning around to make sure his parents were seeing all the action.

George’s big day out

Prince George had his very first U.K. royal engagement in July 2016, when he unexpectedly joined Mum and Dad to see the  Royal International Air Tattoo. William got to show George the helicopter he trained on back in 2009. Clearly they both were loving this day—George even asked if he could fly one of the planes. Sadly, William said no.

Multi-tasking Kate

When the Cambridges arrived in Victoria, Canada for their eight-day tour, Kate amazed the world with her ability to multi-task. She carried Charlotte down the plane steps and then quickly stopped a wardrobe malfunction when George grabbed at her skirt. EEK! But like all moms Kate can multi-task like a pro—while in high heels.

Sweet Charlotte

The visit to Canada was the first royal tour (and the first royal engagement) for Princess Charlotte. At times Charlotte looked overwhelmed, but Kate was there to comfrot her.

Doting on their new addition

Prince William and Kate were as cute as ever when they debuted their third child on the steps of the Lindo Wing on April 23, 2018. The proud parents were all smiles as the duchess held a then-unnamed Prince Louis in her arms, wrapped in the same blanket as his older siblings, and her husband showed a rare public display of affection with his arm around his wife. The pair was spotted having the sweetest (and most relatable!) conversation during the epic photo op, with Kate saying, “It is a bit windy, he might get cold” and the couple deciding to go back inside. Awwww.

Kids do the darndest things

With a newborn at home and more than a few sleepless nights under their belts, the Cambridges were surely sleep deprived at Trooping the Colour in 2018, but that didn’t stop them from delighting in their children’s adorable antics. William and Kate beamed at their little ones—and animated cousin Savannah Phillips—as they watched the planes fly past on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

A day at the polo

Less than two months after welcoming Prince Louis, doting Kate took her two elder kids out for a fun day in the sun cheering on dad Prince William at his polo match. The royal mom had lots of goodies for Prince George stashed in her tote, from a slinky to toy guns, and Princess Charlotte showed off her somersault skills. Kate couldn’t stop smiling as she cuddled up to her kiddies—and chased them down a hill in wedge heels!

That loving gaze

The Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t stop beaming at her bundle of joy on his christening day, and Prince Louis—clad in his replica christening gown—returned his mom’s loving gaze. But before you melt into a puddle, there’s plenty more sweetness to go around in this photo. Three-year-old Princess Charlotte held on tightly to her daddy’s hand and the program from Louis’ big day, while Prince George delighted fans by sticking hit tongue out ever so slightly.

Nature lovers

The Cambridge’s newest member, eight-month-old Prince Louis, showed off his charming smile and resemblance to mom Kate in this sweet family portrait—taken in the late summer at their country home, Anmer Hall, for the family’s Christmas card. All the kiddies and Kate wore button-up shirts and sweaters (did Wills not get the memo?) and five-year-old Prince George looked like he was aching to run into the wild and play (with three-year-old Charlotte right behind him). See, even royals can’t get their kids to pose for the camera!
