We have a new Princess—Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. We've rounded up other famous Charlottes throughout history.
Hi Lottie!
William and Kate announced the name of the sweet baby girl—Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Aww, what a perfect name.
Princess Charlotte will obviously now be the most famous Charlotte in the world. But who else has shared her name? We rounded up some of our favourite Charlottes in history.
1. Charlotte Casiraghi There are now two Princess Charlottes in the world. Princess Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco is Grace Kelly's granddaughter.
2. Charlotte the Spider What kid doesn't love the spider from Charlotte's Web. I'm sure Princess Charlotte will soon have a copy of this book in her royal library.
3. Charlotte York Goldenblatt You just know Charlotte from Sex and the City would be freaking out over sharing a name with a Princess. New York royalty meets British royalty.
4. Charlotte Brontë Another famous Brit named Charlotte. Though I'm sure little Lottie will be much more bonny than Charlotte Brontë or the heroine of her classic novel, Jane Eyre.
5. Queen Charlotte Queen Charlotte was the wife of King George III. She was Queen from 1744 t0 1818, making her the longest reigning consort in British history.
6. Philippa Charlotte It's likely wee Charlotte was named after her aunt Pippa, whose full name is Philippa Charlotte. Aunt Pippa can teach Lottie all about being the sister of a Queen/King.
