Top 20 baby names in Ontario for 2017
The results of Ontario's top baby names are out. You might be surprised to learn which monikers are making a comeback and why.

The top 20 baby names in Ontario for 2017 are out and it turns out we’re all loving TV character-inspired options. While the top names are ones we’ve seen for a few years—though Benjamin unseated Liam for the top spot on the boys’ list this year, and oldfangled Lincoln showed up for the first time ever in the top 20 for boys—primetime television drama This Is Us is being credited with the rise of the names Rebecca and Toby, up 14 and 19 spots respectively.
Netflix’s The Crown is the alleged culprit behind the spike in Elizabeth, Margaret and Winston. With this in mind, in a few years, the top 20 might look very different than what you see below.
