11 kids’ movies and shows coming to Netflix Canada in July 2018

Every month, Netflix Canada adds family-friendly shows and movies for your kids to stream. Here's what's coming up in July 2018.

The weather we dreamed about all winter is finally, solidly here—and yet somehow, the kids are still asking for screen time?! Send those little monkeys outside! But once they’re sweaty and exhausted, let them cool down with a homemade Popsicle and a show. Every month, Netflix adds new kids’ TV shows and movies to its lineup. Here are the new additions to Netflix Canada in July 2018.

But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different—you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.

Curious George

Best for: Ages 4+
The Man in the Yellow Hat travels to Africa to find a priceless artifact. But he returns with George, an inquisitive chimp who paints the town red. Available July 4.

Kung Fu Panda 3

Best for: Ages 5+
Continuing his “legendary adventures of awesomeness”, Po must face two hugely epic but different threats: one supernatural and the other a little closer to his home. Available July 1.

Free Rein (season 2)

Best for: Ages 6+
As Zoe and the Bright Fields team prepare for Junior Nationals, they must overcome the loss of a team member, a mysterious fire and other obstacles. Available July 6.

The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants

Best for: Ages 6+
Facing one misadventure after another, two rascally grade four pals turn their ornery principal into Captain Underpants, a superhero to save the day. Available July 13.

Best for: Ages 6+
Fun-loving Tip and her goofy Boovian BFF take on the world in a new season packed with awesome adventures and cool tunes. Available July 20.

Best for: Ages 3+

A second year at Cackle’s Academy means double the magic and mischief for accident-prone witch in training Mildred Hubble and her friends. Available July 27.

Affable alien Ratchet longs to be a Galactic Ranger and might get the chance when rogue robot Clank tells him of evil Drek’s plot to destroy a galaxy. Available July 8.

What’s being taken off Netflix Canada in July 2018?

Netflix removes content from its rotation every month, and it’s nice to have a heads up in case your kid is seriously addicted to a particular show or movie. In July 2018, the kids’ movies being removed are Rio 2 (July 1), Alice Through the Looking Glass (July 11) and The Lorax (July 14).
