The Most Magical Place on Earth just got a little more special for two kids from Pennsylvania. 12-year-old Janielle and 10-year-old Elijah were in for a treat when their foster parents, Courtney and Tom, brought them to Disney World in Orlando—but little did they know they were in for another big surprise once they arrived.
Unbeknownst to the kids, the couple had finalized the kids' adoption papers before the trip and reached out to Disney to help them reveal the news to their two foster kids. They set up a private meet-and-greet with Mickey and captured the special moment on video.
In the video, the kids excitedly arrive to the meet-and-greet, armed with their autograph books. After a magic trick and a photo-op, Mickey presented the kids with a sign displaying a date the official day of their adoption. Overcome with emotions, the kids burst into happy tears and many hugs are shared. Maybe the sweetest part? They're all wearing matching buttons to announce their reason for celebration: "Adopting our kids" and "Getting adopted," they read. Courtney can be heard saying to her children, "Didn't I tell you it was going to be magic?"
The video, posted on Facebook in early July, has gone viral—pulling at the heart strings of almost 2 million viewers. Tissue, anyone?
