The Duchess of Cambridge, aka Kate Middleton, is pregnant! Clarence House announced the huge news in a statement (and posted it on Twitter, of course):

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.

The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.

As you may recall from the first pregnancy, or maybe you've experienced it yourself, hyperemesis gravidarum is a condition in which the mom-to-be experiences extreme morning sickness. (You can read more about it here.)

As we all know, this is the second child for Kate and Prince William the new royal baby will join big brother His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, and will be titled Prince or Princess of Cambridge—according to the Queen's decree in January 2013 that all of William and Kate's children would be Prince or Princess (as opposed to only the oldest son).
