Celebrity playdates

Kingston and Zuma & the Jolie-Pitt kids

It's one of the most famous playdates of all time — when Angelina Jolie took her six kids, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox to play with Kingston and Zuma at Gwen Stefani's house in London, September 2011. The Jolie-Pitts were in town while Brad filmed scenes for World War Z. Turns out Brad's been friends with Gwen and her husband, Gavin Rossdale, for years, and now Angelina and Gwen are tight.

Among other stuff, the kids smothered finger paint on themselves (as you can see), and the ladies sent security guards for take-out from the local Wagamama noodle restaurant for dinner.

Harper Beckham & Prince George

Well, they haven't had a playdate yet. Obviously, it's a tad early; the prince is just one month old! But reliable sources have it that Harper Beckham and Prince George will spend time together. Indeed, it's said Victoria Beckham sees her daughter and Prince George as good friends in the future.

"Sadly, Kate’s not in the position to go out for regular mummy lunches with her friends," says a source for the Daily Star. "It’s more likely that Victoria will visit Kate at her home with baby Harper. She thinks their kids could develop a great friendship in the future, just like her and Kate." You know I'll keep you posted!

The Beckham & Ramsay kids

Longtime Celebrity Candy readers will remember several photos of these two families hanging out together

Here they are enjoying last Easter weekend together in Napa Valley, California. It's a big crew, since both families have four kids: Chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife, Tana, are parents to Megan, Jack, Holly and Matilda; and David and Victoria Beckham are, of course, parents to Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. Lots of friends to play with!

The Afflecks & Burke-Charvets

Apparently, there's a carpool situation we all need to know about. Jennifer Garner and Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet shuttle each other's kids to and from school.

When asked who she'd let babysit her kids, Brooke named Jennifer. "[Jennifer] is very normal," she told Us Weekly, "And she and I carpool together — so I trust her! Moms I know, I trust. And that's about it!"

Here's Hugh Jackman helping out Cate Blanchett by hosting a snowball fight among his kids, Ava and Oscar, and her three boys, Roman, Dashiell and Ignatius. Hugh and Cate are good friends — both big-time award-winning Australian actors — so it's no surprise their kids hang out together.

Hugh took the kids that day so she could do some Christmas shopping. He's the sweetest!

Satyana & Harper and Gideon

"Yes, I bring her to work as often as I can," Alyson Hannigan told me of her daughter Satyana, when I interviewed her in New York two summers ago. "There’s a nursery set up and I ordered this indoor playground, and she loves the slide."

"And she’s met [Neil Patrick Harris's] twins once because they’re too small to really come to work," she continued. "But Coby [Smulder's] daughter Shaelyn is seven weeks younger than Saty, so they’ll have a playdate on set.  If one is coming, we try to make sure the other is coming, too."

Cute! Alyson has since welcomed a baby girl, who must be enjoying that awesome playground, too, now with the Harris-Burtka twins et al.

Maxwell Drew, Ace Knute & Bronx Mowgli

Jessica Simpson and her younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, have enjoyed time together with their little ones, Maxwell and Bronx. Here they are shopping at Toys 'R Us in Burbank California back in March.

Since then, Jessica has welcomed her second child, Ace Knute, and Bronx is loving playing with his new little cousin. "I gotta say he's looking a little like Bronx," Ashlee tells E! Online of baby Ace. "They're all little towheads. They're all so cute."

Louis Bardo & Georgette and Vivian

The idea for this whole gallery was actually triggered by The Heat, featuring besties Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. The two were so hilarious in that movie, one can only imagine how fun playdates are for their kids — Louis Bardo Bullock and Georgette and Vivian Falcone — and for them! They all recently enjoyed a playdate at Melissa's Los Angeles home.

CaCee Cobb's & Jessica Simpson's new babies

This gallery was also spawned by the birth of Jessica Simpson's bestie, CaCee Cobb's new baby boy. Jessica and CaCee spent tons of time together, reportedly gushing about baby stuff, while they were both pregnant at the same time — Jessica with her second child, Ace Knute, and CaCee with her first. There's no doubt their little boys are hanging out together already.
