Although this one sounds flashy, the lack of blinking lights, moving parts and loud music mean the Haba Gallivanting Goose Cuddly doesn’t really do much gallivanting—which is kind of refreshing. It’s actually a simple fabric toy that provides support for kids during teething and sleeping—not to mention peace of mind for parents thanks to its well-sewn construction and high-quality materials. The various textures and vibrant red, blue and orange bits will keep babies interested, especially when an adult plays along (the goose’s head doubles as a finger puppet). This is the kind of toy that may well become a beloved friend that lasts through many stages—the thick fabric is easy to grip and drag around, and there’s even a Velcro loop at the bottom to hold baby’s soother. If Gallivanting Goose does become a fave, it’s good to know this little guy can just be popped in the washer and hung to dry.
