Testing the Original Bogg Bag

As a mom of a toddler and a newborn, there's a lot of stuff I need to have on my person at any given time, whether tailgating, going to a play date, heading to the pool or going on a family picnic. I'd seen the Bogg Bag all over social media and heard about how much of a game-changer it can be, so I wanted to try it out and see if the Bogg Bag fit my family's lifestyle.

Functionality

It's hot where I live most of the year, so I was especially excited to have the Bogg Bag for our pool time. We have a pool in our neighbourhood and have a lot of items to cart out there to make it a worthwhile trip. Think towels, snacks, drinks, toys, sunscreen, change of clothes, newborn gear and more. I loved that it all fit snuggly in the bag — just when I thought there wasn't any more room, I could shove one or two more things in there.

The Bogg Bag also served me well as a picnic bag for a casual meal at the playground with friends. I was able to put my daughter's bento box, our meal, my newborn's bottles, a blanket, a carrier and even the whole diaper bag into the Bogg Bag. I also used it as storage in the back of my trunk to keep groceries from rolling around in my car. While we are not campers, I could see the bag being great for camping and any other outdoor activities that require moving a lot of gear at once.

Durability

The Bogg Bag is made from EVA, a type of durable plastic that can withstand a lot. It is a thick material that can sit comfortably in grass, sand, rocks and more. The perforated EVA plastic helps the bag dry quickly and makes it breathable. I love how the bottom of the bag is wide and stands up. The EVA handles also stand up, so I could slip my arms through them easily.

It's a very sturdy bag, no matter how much you put in it. When it was in the back of my car, I hit it with the stroller endless times, but the bag never ripped or tore. I have yet to perfect my mom hold with a newborn and dropped the bag a couple of times; there were no visible dings or dents.

Washability
