We gathered six popular brands of maternity jeans and tested them for fit, comfort, style and value. We tallied the scores and have a clear winner, but the real question is: Are you team full-panel or side-panel?

In the most recent episode of our new how-to and DIY series on Youtube, Easy(ish), we gathered six popular brands of maternity jeans and tested them for fit, comfort, style and value. Watch our mammas—Trisha, Rayna and Anna—try on each pair, then squat, dance and dish their honest opinions. We tallied up all of the scores (rated out of five) and found a clear winner—you definitely want to pick up this pair!
All of the maternity jeans we tested can be found below. All the moms are wearing the Maternity Pure Body crew tee from The Gap in black. Please keep in mind that inventory changes quickly. If the retailer is out of a certain size or style, you can usually find something very similar on their site.

The Rockstar skinnies are one of Old Navy’s bestsellers, so we had to try the maternity version with the side panels instead of the full tummy panel. The denim is made of comfortable cotton, polyester, rayon and spandex. They are machine washable and you can put them in the dryer on low (although we’d be a bit worried about the side panels getting out of shape—we’d personally hang to dry.) The fly may be faux and there aren’t any front pockets, but the back pockets are legit.
