The celeb mom of two has been proclaimed the “mayor of Twitter” for her quippy, relatable tweets and willingness to share her challenges with infertility and postpartum depression with her audience of 13 million-plus followers. But even in a year riddled with the unexpected, Teigen’s latest struggles took us by surprise. In August, she revealed that she and husband John Legend were expecting a third child, which was met with a flurry of hateful trolling by online conspiracy theorists continuing their years-long accusations that Teigen is involved in a Hollywood child sex-trafficking operation. The baseless harassment continued even when she candidly revealed that the baby, named Jack, had died halfway through the pregnancy—first on Instagram and then in a heartbreakingly beautiful essay. "I wrote this because I knew for me I needed to say something before I could move on from this and return back to life, so I truly thank you for allowing me to do so. Jack will always be loved, explained to our kids as existing in the wind and trees and the butterflies they see."
