Makeup expiration: When to throw it out

Chances are your makeup is older than you think. Here are some tips to keep in mind when checking if your product has expired:

1. Check for changes in smell, colour or texture—this can mean the product has gone bad.

2. Clean your brushes and sponges weekly using warm water and a mild soap.

3. Your kid gave you pink eye? Ditch your eye products and give your eyes a break until it passes. Then, buy new eye makeup that you use daily.
