How to make a giant paper airplane

Crank the classic paper airplane up a notch with this giant heavy-duty version. Head out to the park or a field and watch it soar.

How to make a giant paper airplane

Head to the park, you'll need an open space to launch this giant paper airplane. It's such a simple craft that provides hours of summer fun.

You'll need: sheet of large bristol board pompom glue (hot glue works best) stickers and washi tape (optional)

How-to: 1. Fold your airplane using your favourite method. This is much thicker paper so you really have to work the folds—simple is best. We used this method and it worked really well.

2. Since there's a lot more weight behind this aircraft than your standard paper kind, we glued a cute pompom to the pointed end to soften the blow.

3. Tape down seams where it needs the extra hold to keep it from unfolding.

4. Decorate! A few simple stickers and a washi tape ribbon tail are great add-ons. Now grab your flight crew and hit the park.
