The new cookie jar: Step one

This easy four-step cookie jar craft is infinitely customizable — simply change the sticker and paint you're using and every jar will be unique.

1: Wash and dry a clear glass jar with a screw-on lid.

2: Apply a sticker. (It should be half the height of the jar for full effect.)

3. Paint the jar, over the sticker, with two coats of non-toxic acrylic paint. (The jar should be opaque when you're done.)

4. Remove the sticker and voila! A fun way to package small treats or party mixes.

Fancy paper wrapping

Accent plain paper wrapping with washi tape by layering cardstock over a wide strip of tape, and then clipping together with a paper clip.

Textured paper envelope

Stitch an envelope out of textured paper. Seal with a mini clothespin covered in washi tape. 

Tip: Decorate clothespins with washi tape, paint or markers.

Chip in

Cover a clean chip tube with pretty paper, then add a bow. This packaging idea will keep your cookies intact en route to their lucky recipient.
