1.  Assemble 10 vanilla sandwich cookies, 10 lollipop sticks, one cup of yellow candy melts, assorted colours of flat taffy candy, a black food-colouring pen and a pair of kitchen scissors.

2. Place your candy melts in a bowl and melt them in the microwave for about 1 min. Gently pull one side of the cookie off the icing in its centre. Do this to each cookie. Place a stick into the cream. Smear about 1/2 tsp of melted candy melts over the sticks and icing, and re-sandwich your cookies. Let cool for five minutes. You will have 10 cookie pops.

3. Dip each cookie into the melted candy melts and coat completely. When pulling your pops out, let excess drip off. (If your mixture is too thick, stir in a bit of canola oil.) Place the dipped cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place these in your fridge for 20 min to speed up the hardening process. When the coating is firm, draw faces onto each with the food-colouring pen. For extra facial features, cut out your desired shapes from the taffy candy, and attach them to your pops with a dab of water.
