Every month, Netflix Canada adds family-friendly shows and movies for your kids to stream. Here's what's coming up in October 2018.

Netflix Canada has announced which new kids' TV shows and movies it will be adding to its lineup in October 2018 and predictably, there's lots of spooky Halloween content, with some superhero and Christmas movies thrown in for good measure (plus, Secret Life of Pets! And three seasons of Octonauts!).
Here's the full list. But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different, and you're the best judge of what's appropriate and what your kid can handle.
Best for: Ages 5+ The quiet life of a terrier named Max is upended when his owner takes in Duke, a stray whom Max instantly dislikes. Available October 22.
Best for: Ages 13+ A Duke's son leads desert warriors against the galactic emperor and his father's evil nemesis when they assassinate his father and free their desert world from the emperor's rule. Available October 3.

It’s Halloween, and the Super Monsters are ready to celebrate—with candy, costumes and music to get you in the mood! Available October 5.
Best for: Ages 5+ Alvin, Simon and Theodore take advantage of their new gig at a movie theme park by wandering the grounds after hours. Among the attractions is the spooky Frankenstein's Castle, where a real mad scientist is bringing the monster to life. But when the boys cross paths with the creature, they soon learn that appearances can be deceiving, and Frankenstein is more misunderstood than malevolent. Available October 3.
Best for: Ages 4+
With curious new student Spike in the mix, the Super Monsters use their powers to solve problems—and conquer their fears about growing up. Available October 5.
Best for: 8+ Set in Ireland in the 1910s, 'Angela's Christmas' is a funny, heart-warming and poignant story about the power of family and the innocent desire of a child to ensure everyone is safe, warm and loved at Christmas time. Available October 3.

Best for: Ages 8+ A paranormal expert and his daughter bunk in an abandoned house populated by three mischievous ghosts and one friendly one. Available October 3.

There's a new threat to baby popularity: old people. But a revolutionary "stinkless" serum could give Baby Corp a competitive advantage. Available October 12.
Best for: Ages 3+ Sound the Octo-Alert! This popular preschool cartoon is set in the ocean and introduces kids to some of the sea's diverse species. Available October 15.
Best for: Ages 7+ When Chloe discovers that her new home's garden gnomes are not what they seem, she must decide between the pursuit of a desired high school life and taking up the fight against the Troggs. Available October 19.
Best for: Ages 6+ Mr. Bean wins a trip to Cannes where he unwittingly separates a young boy from his father and must help the two come back together. On the way he discovers France, bicycling, and true love, among other things. Available October 3.

A boy and his homemade robot attempt to free their oppressed nation from an evil empire and its robot centurions in this exciting animated series. Available October 21.
Best for: Ages 12+ Batman, along with a number of his allies and adversaries, finds himself transplanted from modern Gotham City to feudal Japan. Available October 24.
The hilarious kids' movie Minions will be removed from Netflix Canada on October 24, 2018.
