Every month, Netflix Canada adds family-friendly shows and movies for your kids to stream. Here's what's coming up in May 2018. Spoiler alert: Coco!

You guys, this is BIG. Coco is finally coming to Netflix Canada! The animated Disney film became an instant hit when it was released in theatres in November, and while the DVD has been out since February, many Canadian Netflix subscribers have been waiting for the day they could finally stream the family-friendly movie, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Well, that day arrives May 29. Family movie night scheduled!
But of course there's more than just Coco coming to Netflix in May 2018. Here are all the kid-friendly movies and shows being added to the service. Note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different—you're the best judge of what's appropriate and what your kid can handle.
Coco Best for: Ages 5+ Confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music, aspiring musician Miguel enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer. Available May 29

My Girl Best for: Ages 9+ This coming-of-age charmer follows a summer in the life of an 11-year-old girl who learns about love and loss as she grapples with profound changes. Available May 1

Spirit Riding Free (season five) Best for: Ages 7+ In a small Western town, spunky ex-city girl Lucky forms a tight bond with wild horse Spirit while having adventures with best pals Pru and Abigail. Inspired by the Oscar-nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Available May 11

Trollhunters (Part 3) Best for: Ages 7+ The fate of both trolls and humans hangs in the balance as the final chapter begins. Will Gunmar succeed in shrouding the world in darkness? Available May 25
Patch Adams Best for: Ages 12+ After spending time in a mental institution, a man (Robin Williams) decides to become a doctor, hypothesizing that humour will improve patients’ quality of life. Available May 1
Pup Star: World Tour Best for: Ages 4+ Talented pooches from around the world compete to be the next Pup Star, but behind-the-scenes schemes threaten to ruin the fun. Available May 5
Pocoyo & Cars Best for: Ages 3+ Pocoyo gears up for exciting car races and learns that friends, teamwork and imagination are what matter the most. Available May 1
Pocoyo & The Space Circus Best for: Ages 3+ Acrobatic aliens arrive on spaceships and perform for everyone, but when angry aliens arrive as well, Pocoyo and his friends must now put on a show. Available May 1
Pocoyo Carnival Best for: Ages 3+ To celebrate the carnival, everyone learns to dance to different music. Plus, Pocoyo’s friends surprise him with something delicious. Available May 1
Pocoyo Halloween: Space Halloween Best for: Ages 3+ Pocoyo and his friend have a costume contest to celebrate Halloween and learn new things about planets and stars in space. Available May 1
Pocoyo Halloween: Spooky Movies Best for: Ages 3+ Pocoyo finds a special toy and plays new games with his friends, then they’re spooked by a scary box and try to find out who’s inside. Available May 1
Pocoyo Special Sports Best for: Ages 3+ Everyone is getting excited for the games. Pocoyo plays baseball and golf, and races with his friends. Ready, set, go! Available May 1
LAST CALL! Watch it while you can! The following kid and tween content will be removed from Netflix Canada in May 2018: Cool Runnings, Planes, Tangled, Billy Madison, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Mean Girls ("Stop trying to make fetch happen").
