Pink had the best response when her daughter said she was going to marry a woman

We should all take a page out of Pink's parenting handbook.

Pink continues to kick *ss at being a parent.

The singer has two children with husband, Carey Hart—Willow, born in June 2011, and Jameson, born in December 2016. As a woman who continues to break down the walls of gender conformity, it's no surprise that when her daughter told her that she's going to marry an African woman, that Pink was totally cool with it.

"We are a very label-less household. Last week Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman. I was like 'Great, can you teach me how to make African food?' and she’s like ‘Sure mama, and we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.'"

The only question she had for her daughter was, "who is paying for this by the way?"

This isn't the first time Pink has praised gender-neutrality, either—she recently gave a pat on the back to a school that saw past blue and pink by providing a gender-neutral bathroom for its students.

"The bathroom outside the kindergarten [classroom] said 'Gender Neutral - anybody', and it was a drawing of many different shapes. I took a picture of it and I wrote: 'Progress'. I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation."

We agree!

As a powerful woman who is no stranger to defying societal norms, this isn't the first time she's taken issues in society and used them as a teaching moment for her daughter. Who can forget that legendary VMA acceptance speech she gave that was dedicated to Willow. Her six-year-old daughter felt "she was the ugliest girl she knew" because she "looked like a boy with long hair." Pink used her speech to remind her daughter that although people have said that Pink herself looks like a boy and that she's too masculine, she has never allowed that to change the way she cuts her hair, how she dresses or how she presents herself. We love that Pink is living her truth and encouraging her kids to do the same. The woman can definitely rock a suit!

If there's one thing this rockstar mama keeps proving, it's that we need more Pinks in the world.

AMEN.
