Watch this baby literally pop out of the womb

Birth, in all its various forms, is always a marvel. Really, what could be more magical than witnessing the moment a new human enters the world?! But some births, like the one in this new mesmerizing video of a gentle C-section, really take your breath away.

This mind-blowing moment, posted to Instagram by fertility doctor Jham Frank Lugo earlier this week, captures the precise instant a newborn ‘pops’ out of the womb and into the world. Look at the little eyebrows and ears! Cue all the “awww’s.”

During this particular method of gentle Cesarean, doctors leave the baby untouched after the incision is made so that the infant must push itself from the womb. This "natural Cesarean" mirrors the experience of a vaginal birth and is practiced to help the baby release amniotic fluid from its lungs. As you can see in the video, the little one's head suddenly emerges—greeting everyone with an adorable, squish-able face. We honestly can’t stop watching!
