Gwyneth Paltrow: Sweet birthday photo with son, Moses

The timing may be curious, but we're enjoying this sweet, rare photo Gwyneth Paltrow shared of herself and her son, Moses.

Happy Birthday to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's son, Moses! He turned eight years old on Tuesday, April 8, and Gwyneth celebrated by sharing this sweet photo (above) of her and the birthday boy on Instagram.

"Moses Bruce Paltrow Martin tuns 8 today," she captions the pic. "We love you!"

Gwyneth rarely (if ever) shares photos of her children with the public, so this is a big deal if you care about stuff like this. And needless to say, the timing is curious. As everyone knows, Gwyneth, 41, and Chris, 37, are just coming out of the press hullabaloo (word!) surrounding their separation, or rather, their "conscious uncoupling." So, in posting this personal photo, is she trying to deflect us from the split situation and all the jokes around what they called their "conscious uncoupling"? Is she sending a message that we are happy and moving forward as a family? Or is this really a random happy, unconsciously timed Instagram post?

And is that an unconscious placement of the wedding ring in the photo? Hmmm, so many questions out of one lovely pic. (One has to ask—at least for fun!)

Indeed, it looks like the unconscious coupling is going swimmingly for Gwyneth, Chris, Moses and his big sis, Apple, 9.5. They just returned from a family trip to the Bahamas. It certainly appears they're "closer than we have ever been,” as their split announcement read.

And in the meantime, I've been enjoying watching Chris Martin coach singers on The Voice (I know, I'm late to the punch on this, so no spoilers!). He's not only nice to look at, you see, but also clearly a musical-god-type human.
