Halsey

Halsey chose the perfect time to share this sweet nursing shot: World Breastfeeding Week. "We arrived just in time" the singer captioned the photo, in which tiny two-week-old Ender is dining al fresco, and included the #worldbreastfeedingweek hashtag. The 26-year-old looks happy and comfortable nursing in the great outdoors, and Ender's little puppy pants are definitely tugging at our ovaries. Halsey, who uses the pronouns they/she, welcomed their little one on July 14, sharing a delivery room photo with the caption, "Gratitude. For the most “rare” and euphoric birth. Powered by love."

Mandy Moore

New mom Mandy Moore loves to hike, but when you have a baby there are things you gotta do—like pump. Luckily, she didn't let that stop her when she and some friends decided to climb to the summit of Mount Baker in Washington State. In fact, she simply pumped during the journey to the top! The celeb mom recently shared pictures of her pumping on the hike and at the summit on her Instagram stories, which is honestly pretty bad*ss. Climbing a mountain already takes a lot of effort but to carry your pump along with all your other supplies? That's the super strength that comes with motherhood right there.

Shay Mitchell

The 32-year-old actor and new mom looks so glamorous in this shot of her breastfeeding her daughter, Atlas Noa, that she posted on her Instagram in December 2019. She captioned the photo with a simple pun, "Breast friends," and we absolutely love it. This comes after she posted a super real look at her 33-hour labour back in October. You go Shay!

Alanis Morissette

The Grammy award-winning singer looks so happy in this sweet photo of her family that she posted on her Instagram. In it, we see Alanis breastfeeding her newborn son, Winter, surrounded by her husband Mario Treadway, their two older kids Ever and Onyx and a whole lot of pillows and blankets. It looks SO DANG COZY. Alanis has been quite open about her experience with postpartum depression in the past so its wonderful to see her so happy in this rare snap of her entire family.

Ashley Graham

Ashley has always been a huge advocate for body positivity and female empowerment and shared plenty of raw and unfiltered photos of her body as it changed during and after pregnancy. We’re so happy to see that she’s continued to normalize the breastfeeding journey, with its many ups and downs. In July, she posted this cute photo on Insta with the caption “after pool chilaxin.” Tight grip there, Isaac!

Eva Longoria

One-year-old Santiago’s famous mom left a serious impression on her colleagues when she breastfed her baby boy while directing the series Grand Hotel. “She was directing, and acting, and producing while she was breastfeeding, and seeing all that was such an inspirational thing to me,” the show’s star, Roselyn Sanchez, told People. Eva shared her gratitude for the support she received on set alongside a photo of her in action: “This is a pic of me directing while breastfeeding Santi during the filming. Women multi task everyday and I was so lucky to have such an amazing crew and cast that supported both my new motherhood and career goals! Can’t wait for all of you to see our work on Monday on ABC! Link in bio! #GrandHotel.” Go mama!

Jessica Simpson

Jessica shared this picture on her Instagram a few months after the birth of her third child, Birdie Mae. Showing her freezer drawers full of pumped baby milk, she captioned the photo saying: “I’m starting to think we should add breast milk to the Jessica Simpson Collection 🤣.” Loving that liquid gold!

Amy Schumer

Amy has been fairly candid about her pregnancy struggles on her Instagram (she suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum a.k.a. extreme morning sickness), so it’s no surprise that post-baby, she’s just as open as she was before. In this Instagram photo of her pumping milk for her son, Gene, she does NOT look pleased. But hey, at least the vomiting has stopped, right?

Hilary Duff

One big part of breastfeeding that people don’t usually talk about is stopping. In a recent Instagram post, Hilary Duff spoke about how she dealt with the difficult choice to start weaning her daughter, Banks, after six months. “I was sad and frustrated and feeling like a failure all of the time. When really I’m a bad ass rock star,” the 31-year-old actor wrote in her caption. “I am happy to say that I haven’t fed or pumped in three days and it’s crazy how fast you can come out on the other side. I feel fine and happy and relieved and silly that I even stressed on it so hard. Banks is thriving and I get even more time with her and daddy gets to do more feeds! And mommy gets a tiny bit more sleep!”

Gemma Whelan

Gemma Whelan, who plays Yara Greyjoy on Game of Thrones, is being praised by moms online for breastfeeding on set. The actress, who welcomed her daughter in 2017, shared the photo on Instagram and wrote in the comments that the photo was snapped after filming one of her first scenes of Season 8.

Amanda Seyfried

This photo of the actress nursing her daughter, Nina, while exchanging a loving look with her sister, is just too sweet. Amanda shared it on Instagram with the caption, “#tbt with my sister on my favorite day,” which we’re guessing is the day her baby girl was born. Is somebody cutting onions in here?

Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed’s daughter, Bodhi, is 20-months old and still breastfeeding. Yep, in a post on her Instagram, the actor wrote about how she doesn’t know when she’ll be done breastfeeding her almost-toddler. “I follow her lead, and she tells me exactly what she needs,” Nikki wrote. Apparently, Bodhi didn’t show any interest in eating mushy baby food, so Nikki was advised to skip it altogether and go straight to small bites of solid finger food—and it apparently seems to be working. “Right now thats where were at, still breastfeeding and skipping right to finger foods,” she wrote. “Also, in case you need to hear it again because I definitely did, whatever you’re doing you are doing it right!” Right on!

Kat von D

We’re sun-dazed by this cute Instagram video of Kat Von D and her baby enjoying some nice natural light (which Kat calls “vitamin Double D,” love it!) posted in early January 2019. In her caption, Kat says she tries to go outside with baby Leafer at least once a day because his “heightened sense of alertness, smell and touch make going outside such a treat for him [and].” Adorable!

Rachel McAdams

This photo, which was taken while during a covershoot for Girls. Girls. Girls. Magazine back when Rachel was six months postpartum, is hands down the coolest pumping shot we’ve ever seen. According to Claire Rothstein, the magazine’s founder and the photographer for the shoot, Rachel was pumping and expressing milk between shots, and one of them had the idea to take this photo—and we’re so glad they did. Not only is it a gorgeous photo on its own, it’s also an amazing representation of working moms getting the job done. You go, mama!

Chrissy Teigen

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Chrissy Teigen more she does this! John Legend shared this photo on June 18 writing, “I know it’s Father’s Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome. She’s taking me to dinner but still on mommy duty.” Of course the haters couldn’t help themselves and commented that the photo is “disgusting,” “indecent,” and “inappropriate.” We think there is nothing disgusting about feeding your child and say go Chrissy!

Candice Swanepoel

The 28-year-old Victoria’s Secret model slammed haters who shamed her for breastfeeding her two-month-old son, Anacã, in public. “Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children. I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I’ve done in the name of art..? The world has been desensitized to the sexualization of the breast and to violence on tv…why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding? -Breastfeeding is not sexual it’s natural- Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole. 💪🏼💙 👫👭 #mothernature” We’re totally with you, Candice!

Alanis Morissette

Look at this multitasking mama! Although she’s a Canadian, she has been an American citizen since 2005, giving her the right to vote for her new President. But hey, sometimes new moms can’t easily just leave the house when they have a baby who eats ’round the clock. The 42-year-old singer posted this photo on Instagram to encourage people to vote, even if they’re busy, while breastfeeding her four-month-old daughter, Onyx. She hashtagged it “#evenwhenyoucantleavethehouse“. You go, girl!

Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano frequently shares snaps of her breastfeeding her kids, Milo and Elizabella—she even breastfed live on Periscope. And she fights for women’s right to breastfeed in public. When TV host Wendy Williams said she didn’t like public breastfeeding, Alyssa threatened to “whip ’em out” live on TV. And she tweeted her anger when Heathrow Airport confiscated her pumped milk and dumped it out.

Kristen Bell

When actress Kristen Bell hosted the CMT awards in 2013, she shared a behind-the-scenes look at her beauty routine. Yep, the mom was pumping. When people criticized her, she had the perfect response. “They’re just boobs!” she says. “Calm down. They’re under our shirt whether you’re looking at them or not.”

Jenna Dewan

The actress got candid on Instagram about how challenging breastfeeding was with her second baby. “From latching issues, to my son loving one side vs. another, making more milk, when to pump... EVERYTHING was different.” This is a good reminder that no two babies are the same when it comes to breastfeeding and that is totally okay.

Pink

Pink shared this snap of “lunchtime” during her album cover shoot. The singer says she makes a point of breastfeeding daugther Willow in public. “I think breastfeeding is healthy and natural and it’s a comfort to my baby so I can give a shit what somebody else thinks.”

Julie Bowen

On Lopez TonightModern Family star Julie Bowen said The View refused to show a photo of her breastfeeding her twins, Johnny and Gus, in the double football hold. “I hope you’re brave enough to show it,” she dared host George Lopez. And he was! Check out the photo and video of her talking about nursing twins.

“It’s like two little liposuction machines on you,” she tells George. “They suck the fat out of you. They call it the ‘double football hold.’ You hold one here, and here, like two footballs. They’re doing God’s work right there, helping me return to my [pre-pregnancy] weight.”

Olivia Wilde

When this picture of Olivia Wilde breastfeeding son Otis was published in Glamour, people were quite upset and said the actress was glamourizing breastfeeding. “I am a working mother,” Olivia said of her decision to breastfeed during the shoot. “Shooting a cover shoot for a magazine is work, and during that day my son had to eat, and so I had to feed him. I thought, if you’re taking a portrait of me, this is part of me.”

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani has been making celebrity-news headlines for posting this gorgeous photo of herself breastfeeding her third child, Apollo, in Switzerland. Not to overanalyze—although Gwen is an artiste: Perhaps she went barefoot in the photo to symbolize breastfeeding as a natural act?

Gwen’s been vocal about breastfeeding in the past, as well—even sharing how her son Zuma weaned himself.“I didn’t want him to (quit), it felt like a total rejection,” she told USA Today. “It was really hormonal, and trying to stop in the middle of the tour was insane.”

“[This] photo was one of the first photos Orlando [Bloom] took,” Miranda shared on her KORA Organics website, shortly after son Flynn was born. “We both loved it and we wanted to share it. The pleasant surprise was that it also had the added benefit of promoting breastfeeding which to me is the most natural thing in the world and I love it.”

“I intend to breastfeed for as long as I can,” she continues. “My breast milk will give our little Flynn the nutrition he needs for his continued healthy development and to all mums out there I am sure you will make the right choice for you and your baby.”

“There’s this football hold,” she added. “It’s a lot harder than it looks in the books. I did that a few times. I would take turns. It just takes a long time.”
