RECALL: Hedstrom Sensory Combo Pack

Over 2,500 units are being recalled due to small foam pieces breaking apart from the toy, which can pose a choking hazard.

Approximately 2,570 units of the Hedstrom Sensory Combo Pack, manufactured in China and sold across the country at Costco Canada, are being recalled.

The toy may release small foam pieces when chewed on by an infant, and may pose as a choking hazard for infants and small children. Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product in Canada. However, Hedstrom, a division of Ball Bounce and Sport, has received one report related to the separation of foam pieces, although no injury was declared.

The packaging is shown above, and contains seven items: three 12-sided foam dice, three PVC sensory shapes (clover, hexagon and diamond), and a 6"orange PVC knobby ball.

You can identify the product by UPC 0-33419-04517-5, the item number 1059395 is printed above the barcode and the product is recommended for infants over 6 months. The recalled toys were sold from July 2016 to August 2016.

What to do if you have this product:

Immediately stop using the recalled toys and return them to your nearest Costco location for a full refund. For more information, call Hedstrom at 1-800-765-9665, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., EST.
