Simon Cowell throws English tea-party baby shower

X Factor bossman/music mogul Simon Cowell, 54, threw his socialite girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, 36, a baby shower last Sunday, December 8, in the back garden of his Beverly Hills abode.

As Us Weekly Magazine reports, Simon helped organize the English tea-party themed event, but, like a good dad-to-be, he left before it began. Intestingly, two of his former girlfriends were in attendance — Mezhgan Hussainy and Terri Seymour.

The food at the event was in keeping with the shower's theme: mini sandwiches, cakes, and tea — or wine and champaign for those able to drink. Lauren opened gifts from her 20 guests after lunch.

This will be the first baby for Simon and Lauren; and it'll be a boy.

"[Baby boy]'s already got a wardrobe to rival any A-lister," a source for the mag says. "There were piles of beautiful newborn clothes — plenty of hats, super-soft onesies... Someone had bought him a tiny pair of shoes, too."

When Simon returned near the end of the shower, he was beaming. "They seem to really be in love," the source says. "I’ve never seen him like that before."
