I’m sorry to report Michael Douglas, 68, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, 43, are separating.
They A-lister duo have not appeared at any events together since last April. They’ve also been travelling separately with their two kids, Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10.

In this week’s issue of People Magazine, the couple’s split is the cover story. According to the mag’s sources, “They’re taking a break,” and there have been no steps taken by either party toward divorce or legal separation.
Catherine and Michael got married in 2000 at Manhattan’s Plaza Hotel. The’ve been through a lot together over the last few years: Michael’s cancer battle and Catherine’s struggle with Bipolar II disorder. Sources for People say the resulting stress has been a major source of their marital strife.
They reportedly decided to take the break last May, when Michael returned from the Cannes Film Festival, and shortly after Catherine completed a second bout of bipolar-II-disorder treatment.
We wish them the best.
