Mariah Carey's twins' names do not disappoint!(!!)

And the names are in! Yesterday, Mariah Carey (42) hinted on her Twitter page that her and hubby Nick Cannon's newborn twins' names both began with M. AND THEY DO. And they're interesting.... Very interesting.

The names of Mariah and Nick's newborn twins are.....

MONROE and MOROCCAN

No, there are no typos here. Moroccan. That's one, as they say, for the books. Right? Interesting! Anyone know any Moroccans? (That's a question I never thought I'd ask at Celebrity Candy.... Or possibly ever, now that I think about it...).

Here's the scoop on the names from People Magazine. Apparently, Mariah and Nick named their son "Moroccan Scott Cannon" and their daughter "Monroe Cannon." "Scott" is Nick's middle name and the maiden name of his grandmother. Monroe didn't get a middle name because Mariah doesn't have one.

Nick actually released the twins' nicknames on Twitter: "ROC & ROE! LET'S GO!" Heh.

What inspired "Monroe" and "Moroccan"? According to People, Monroe is named after Marilyn Monroe (no surprise there) -- who has clearly inspired Mariah over the years. Moroccan, wow. Moroccan is named after the Moroccan-influenced décor on the top level of Mariah's apartment in NYC, where she and Nick got engaged....
