Kim Kardashian has been through a lot in the media: brutally bashed beyond Jessica Simpson proportions for her pregnancy weight gain. If you watch her show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, you know that, like anyone, the bashing has profoundly affected her.

It's no surprise, then, that the 33-year-old reality-TV star has kept relatively quiet since the birth of her baby girl, North, back in June. But it seems Kim's ready to talk. In addition to posting a photo of herself on Instagram in a barely-there bathing suit, she recently talked to London's Sunday Times newspaper about losing the pregnancy weight and her new approach to fashion.

In the interview, Kim reveals she's returning to the Atkin's diet (modified for breastfeeding), which has worked for her in the past, and that she's not ready to work out as much as she'd like to because she's too busy with baby North.

"Fifteen years ago, I tried the Atkins diet with my dad and we both lost weight really quickly," she tells the newspaper (via People.com). "And I'm still doing it. I still have my cheat days, but when you're breastfeeding you can't really starve yourself."

"I haven't exercised a whole lot so far, just because I've been busy with the baby and I don't want to leave her," she continues. "But growing up our parents always exercised, so it's always been important to us. We all love to work out."

In terms of her new post-baby style, Kim, who's known for wearing a ton of black, is lightening things up. "I want to dress a little lighter colour-wise," she says. "I think North looks cute in light colors, and then I want to wear light colors. North doesn't typically wear pink, though. She wears mauve or blush, not, like, typical baby pink."

Not surprisingly, she also takes her cue from boyfriend Kanye West, who's big into fashion. "I'll put something on and he'll say, 'No, that doesn't look good,' and I'll trust him," she says.

How has your style changed since having kids? I know I spent a lot of time in yoga pants for the first few years. Now I'm branching out, and my kids have noticed — they love their (relatively) more stylish mom!
