Kelly Clarkson: Miserable morning sickness; no glow

As you know, Kelly Clarkson is expecting her first child with new hubby, talent manager Brandon Blackstock. And alas, the singer isn't feeling so hot.

On the Ellen Show last Friday, the 31-year-old Grammy-award winner, now 11 weeks along, says she's been feeling quite awful in her first trimester.

"I vomit a good dozen times a day it's like bad," she told host Ellen DeGeneres. "I vomited before coming out here. I'm not even kidding, it's so bad. It's so bad. It's, like, so gross. And that's the thing, too, you're not attractive when you're pregnant. Everybody tells you you glow, and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That is total crap. My nails are short, my hair still falls out — it's not all lush and beautiful — and I have no glow. Unless it's, like, something left over from a bad throw up. It's horrible."

Awww! Though some would construe this as TMI, isn't this why we love Kelly? She's always real and raw. And that is totally how I felt during pregnancy — with a side of major prenatal anxiety.

In fact, Kelly has no tolerance for women who don't tell it like it is and claim they had no issues during pregnancy. "I want to, like, hit all of them with my car," she laughed.

Poor Kelly says she's only had one vomit-free day since she became pregnant. "I had one day (it was either before Thanksgiving or the day after Thanksgiving, I can't remember): I didn't throw up one time that day. I literally cried to my sister and mom — I was like, 'It's over.' They said it would be abrupt and it would just end. Then the next day, nope, it just picked on right back up."

"It's miserable," she said. "But I'm so happy I'm pregnant. I just wish he or she would stop trying to kill me."

The American Idol winner says she had Brandon don't know the sex of the baby yet, but they've chosen a gender-neutral name. "If it's a boy or a girl [we'll use] the same name," she shared.

On top of all the morning sickness, Kelly's been promoting her new holiday album, Wrapped in Red.
