Emily Maynard is the new Bachelorette

OK, so this isn't a subject we usually talk about, but I am a Bachelor fan. I mean, I watch the show.... Do any of you?

Well, remember Emily Maynard (25) from Brad Womack's (second) season? WELL, rumour has it she's the new Bachelorette. People's sources have even confirmed it.

And remember Bentley Williams? The evil villain from bachelorette Ashley Hebert's season? The one who said he was hoping the bachelorette would be Emily instead of Ashley? Well! He apparently wants to compete for Emily's looooove.

I have to say I don't love any of this. Well, I love the fact that Bentley's competing for Emily's looooove, yes — because THAT is good TV. Heh. But I'm not an Emily Maynard fan.

What happened to all that talk about not liking all of the publicity, and all the paparazzi around her 6.5-year-old daughter Ricki? Wasn't that the reason Emily gave for the failure of her relationship with Brad? Bah!

Anyway, they are making arrangements so Emily doesn't have to leave her daughter for a second time (they're apparently bringing the show to Charlotte, North Carolina, Emily's hometown. Plus they're probably paying her a mint because THAT is good TV.
