Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky welcome a baby girl!

Chris Hemsworth has had quite the month! With The Avengers kicking butt in the box-office, the Thor actor and his wife gave birth to a new baby girl that they named something unexpected, but beautiful… India!

With Haley being off for the week, I will be filling in for her with Celebrity Candy, which I clearly wasn’t paying close enough attention to because I didn’t even know he was married, let alone expecting a child! Now that my heart’s been broken and has mended, though, I’m quite pleased with the name they chose. The Snow White and the Huntsman actor, 28, explained to USA Today that “We love the country and love the name.”

The couple has been married since 2010, and Elsa, 35, who starred in Fast Five and is quite a well-known Spanish actress, told Hola! Magazine that she has already warned her demigod of a husband that she is “only going to speak to the baby in Spanish,” and that he better refresh his language skills or he’ll get lost in translation.
