As you may know, Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps, 34, and her hubby, Marc Silverstein, welcomed their second baby girl back in July and named her Cricket Pearl. The name drew criticism, but it wasn't so surprising, since their other daughter's name is Birdie Leigh.

With the debut of the new season of Cougar Town tonight (Tuesday, January 7, 10 p.m. EST), Busy's been doing some interviews, and she opened up to People about the origins of "Cricket."

“Oh my God, [choosing] was so hard because we had all these names and then she came out," she tells the mag. "I looked at her and she just couldn’t be one of those names."

Since the baby was born on a long weekend (July 4), Busy says she was grateful for the extra time to get back to the hospital with a name. But it wasn't quite enough time. A week later, the hospital called asking for the name. So, they put the pedal to the metal and put Dad — who happens to be a talented movie/TV screenwriter — to work, literally.

“He’s always coming up with character names for his movies and TV shows,” Busy says. “A lot of times your name dictates the kind of personality you have and [Marc] like, ‘Everyone likes Cricket, Cricket is just the greatest, happiest kid on the block, the coolest camp counsellor, she’s hot in college.' He just had this whole narrative for what that name was.”

Well, that makes sense! And the name is growing on me — especially since I used to be an avid Young and the Restless fan.... What do you think of the name "Cricket"? Think it'll make the Top 100 Baby Names in Canada list any time soon? *Crickets.*
