Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy: Split

Rumours that reality TV star/author/entrepreneur, Bethenny Frankel, 42, and her husband, Jason Hoppy, split up have been swirling pretty much since they got married, in March 2010 — primarily because they held nothing back when they aired out their relationship dirty laundry on their reality TV show, Bethenny Ever After. So I really wasn't sure whether or not to believe the magazine covers when I returned from my vacation earlier this week.

But it looks like the rumours are, in fact true.

"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," Bethenny said in a statement last weekend. "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."

"We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority," she added. "This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."

Bethenny also took to Twitter to share her pain. "I am heartbroken. I am sad," she tweeted. "We will work through this as a family."

Bethenny and Jason have a 2.5-year-old daughter, Bryn, together.
