ADVISORY: Mould may develop in Fisher Price Newborn Rock 'N Play Sleeper

Health Canada has released an advisory warning of a mould issue with the Fisher Price Newborn Rock 'N Play Sleeper. Mould can grow in the area between the removable seat cushion and the product's plastic frame.

The product is free of mould then it is first purchased, but mould can develop over time if the Sleeper gets wet or is not cleaned frequently enough — thereby exposing babies to mould, which may lead to breathing issues, allergies, etc.

The Rock N' Play Sleeper was sold in Canada up to March 2011.

If you have this product:
Immediately inspect it for any mould under the removable seat cushion. If mould is found, discontinue use immediately, and contact Fisher-Price at 1-800-432-5437 for cleaning instructions.
