When I became a parent of two earlier this year, I worried I’d rarely leave the house. Between the sleep-deprived haze of caring for a newborn and keeping up with a rambunctious, early-rising toddler, staying inside just felt easier. But here’s the thing: any time I did manage a neighbourhood stroll or even a quick grocery run with both kids in tow, we all benefited from the fresh air and sense of adventure.

So when I learned about Momcozy’s new ChangeGo Baby Stroller, a modular single-to-double baby stroller designed to grow with your children from birth until first grade (there’s a super-fun wagon attachment for big kids), I was eager to try it—especially as the snowy weather loomed. I knew I’d need a sturdy stroller to stand up against our harsh Canadian climate.

What is the Momcozy ChangeGo Baby Stroller?

Chances are you’re already familiar with Momcozy, a global brand serving parents in more than 60 countries with its selection of hands-free breast pumps, bottle warmers, nursing bras and baby carriers (among other items). It’s no surprise the mom-centric brand decided to venture into the stroller-making business, too.

The ChangeGo is a full-size stroller for newborns and toddlers that includes a bassinet and toddler seat and boasts a whopping 23 configurations. This means that as well as transforming from a single to a tandem double stroller, its modular design has built-in adapters that let you adjust the seats into various positions to best suit your family's needs. There’s also the option to buy attachable accessories like a wagon seat or shopping basket. Bonus: the stroller is car-seat compatible.

Other standout features include large all-terrain wheels (the front ones swivel for easy maneuvering), advanced suspension equipped with shock-absorbing springs, an adjustable handlebar for parents of varying heights, and a spacious under-seat basket for storing bulky belongings.

Our review of the Momcozy ChangeGo Baby Stroller

The Momcozy ChangeGo Baby Stroller Review: A Game Changer for Growing Families

Living in Ontario, we’ve officially been hit with heavy snowfall, but I didn’t let that stop me from venturing outdoors with my baby and toddler. After the strategic dance that is strapping snow gear onto two squirmy kiddos, I was relieved when placing them into the stroller’s bassinet and toddler seat felt like the easy part.

As snow pellets fell from the sky, our youngest glanced up at me from the bassinet, snug and content thanks to the extendable canopy and zippered cover, shielding him from the cold. My two-year-old also hopped into the toddler seat without protest, his legs fully extended for comfort. The canopy hood was his favourite feature; he complained about the icy snow and wind when I lifted it to fix his hat.

I was apprehensive about snowy neighbourhood sidewalks and crossing roads that hadn’t been fully plowed, but the stroller’s suspension capabilities and large 10- and 12-inch wheels had impressive grip. We were able to glide through with ease (I’d just recommend locking the swivel wheels to safely navigate snow and slush). The brake pedal was also reliable and quite easy to operate, an especially integral feature in slippery conditions—it truly is a durable stroller for urban and off-road use.

I'm five-foot-one and many products aren’t designed with shorter people in mind, so I valued the ChangeGo’s adjustable handlebar feature. Plus, we live within walking distance of modern amenities like a grocery store and drugstore, so a stroller with ample storage is a must. The ChangeGo’s under-seat compartment is quite deep and can hold nearly 20 pounds. When operating as a single stroller, it could easily fit a box of diapers plus our giant diaper bag. Still need more storage? Momcozy offers a shopping basket attachment (sold separately) that quickly snaps into the stroller frame. Another thoughtful design feature I loved: the way the built-in adapters tuck neatly into the stroller’s frame when not in use.

Pros

  • Convertible stroller with multiple (23) configurations (ideal for growing families)
  • Advanced suspension and shock absorption for smooth rides on any surface
  • Generously sized wheels (the front wheels swivel for easy navigation but can also be locked in place for rougher terrain)
  • Five-position adjustable handlebar to accommodate parents of differing heights
  • Spacious under-seat basket for stowing groceries or bulky diaper bags
  • Bassinet and toddler seat with extendable UPF50+ canopy for sun (and snow) protection and side mesh panels for ventilation
  • Toddler seat with adjustable recline, leg rest and five-point harness to keep youngsters comfortable and safe

  • Built-in adapters (a feature typically sold separately) that tuck away when not in use
  • Sleek, stylish design made from high-quality fabric that is Oeko-Tex certified
  • Car seat compatible

Cons

  • With so many configurations, stroller requires a bit of time for assembly
  • Larger profile will take up more storage and trunk space
  • Not carry-on approved for air travel, but easy to check at the gate (a great stroller for keeping siblings contained in a busy airport)

Final verdict

Any parent knows how frustrating it is to purchase new baby products, only to have our little ones outgrow them in a matter of months or even weeks. It’s the reason my husband and I strive to invest in items designed to evolve with our children. As our boys get older—our oldest is nearly three and our youngest approaching seven months—I’m excited to transition our littlest into the stroller’s toddler seat and purchase the wagon attachment for our curious big kid. I also love how easy it is to transform the ChangeGo back into a single stroller when needed. Overall, I’d consider the Momcozy ChangeGo Baby Stroller a top choice for any parent in the market for a stylish-meets-durable stroller that promises to grow with your family for years to come.
