Make a monogrammed wreath

Personalize your holiday decor with this easy-to-make monogrammed wreath that can be hung indoors or out with the help of battery-powered lights. Adorn your evergreen garland wreath with tinsel and ornaments for a classic look, or get a more rustic-inspired look with burlap ribbon, antique ornaments and twinkle lights.

Host a holiday cookie swap

Consider hosting or taking part in a cookie swap this year. The idea is simple: each guest bakes a different kind of cookie and brings enough for everyone to taste at the party (at least one cookie per person), plus plenty more for each guest to take home (between six to 12 cookies per person is ideal).

At the end of the evening, you'll have lots of goodies to take home, and you'll be able to taste a number of recipes at once.

Find the perfect toy

Earlier this year, Walmart invited hundreds of Canadian families to join them for an afternoon of testing toys in Calgary and Toronto, where we let them loose on more than 150 different new toys. When kids and parents were asked for their opinions on what’s worth putting under the tree, they didn’t hold back. These Top 20 Toys were selected based on these toy testers’ research and detailed, honest feedback.

Stock up for the holidays

Whether you’re hosting a huge Christmas dinner or simply exchanging gifts with your family, don’t forget those little details to put the finishing touches on everything. (Ahem, batteries.) Experts agree that the key to a fun holiday season is planning ahead and minimizing trips to the store. Thankfully, Walmart Live Better put together an organized list – and checked it twice! -- of items you’ll need for different holiday activities (think gift giving, entertaining and décor).

Simply download and print the list, take it to the store, and have a happy, easy holiday!
