Casual consumers of these plush critters have taken to popular social media platforms like Tiktok to discuss their benefits. Some users say that Squishmallows provide a source of positive sensory stimulation, comfort during trauma recovery, and an overall improvement to their mental state. Tiktok users with ADHD have discussed how squeezing and kneading these plushies help them cope with intense emotions, while users with autism spectrum disorder have correlated their attachment to Squishmallows with their pleasant texture.

Much-loved Squishmallows will likely get dirty but you shouldn't just throw them in the washer or dryer. When stains on these plushies begin to become noticeable, you should spot-clean them with dish soap. Let the dish soap sit for five minutes and then wipe the stain and soap away with a clean cloth.

If you're dealing with a bigger stain or all-over dirt, pop the stuffy into a wash bag for delicates on the delicate cycle and then lay to dry on a drying rack. Fluff any fur or hair with your fingers once the toy is dry.
