Paying homage to Canada's favourite sport, these Stanley Cup treats are perfect for birthday or playoff parties.
2 ice cream cups
1 ice cream cones
chocolate wafers
candies
edible silver pearl dust
vodka
chocolate, melted
Using a serrated knife, carefully cut off the rounded "bowl" area from the ice cream cone and put aside. Put melted chocolate in a piping bag fitted with a small round tip.
Pipe melted chocolate on the base of the ice cream cup and slide it inside the second ice cream cup, stacking and sealing them together. Fill the cup with candy, then pipe chocolate around the edges of the opening and place a wafer over the opening to seal. Stand the ice cream cups wafer-side down. Pipe a ring of chocolate on the top of the Stanley Cup and attach the ice cream cone "bowl" cut earlier on top.
Pour silver dust into the small dish. Add vodka, a little bit at a time, until the consistency of runny paint. (Alcohol will evaporate once dry.) Brush silver colour onto Stanley Cups—a little goes a long way! Set aside on a baking sheet and let colour and chocolate dry overnight in a cool, dry place.
