Get your kids to eat their greens by making these simple kale chips! Choose from an array of toppings to create a gourmet treat that's totally your own.
1 bunch kale
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp kosher salt
roasted sesame seeds
finely grated Parmesan
ground paprika
chili powder
flaxseeds
nutritional yeast
brown sugar
taco seasoning
lemon zest, or lime zest
Preheat oven to 250F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Remove stems and tough ribs from kale. Tear into 2-3 inch pieces. Wash and dry very well.Transfer to a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil and salt. Gently massage the kale, being sure to coat all leaves evenly.
Lay the kale on the prepared baking sheets in a single layer. Sprinkle with desired toppings.
Bake for 10 minutes. Rotate sheets and bake for 10 to 12 more minutes, or until kale is crisp but not brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
