Crispy salt and pepper tofu cubes

Crispy salt and pepper tofu cubes

This is your weeknight dinner game changer. No prep required, these can go in a stir fry, on a salad or as the protein in a grain bowl.


  • 350-g pkg extra-firm tofu, drained and patted dry

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/8 tsp pepper

  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  • Cut tofu into 3/4-in. cubes. Stir cornstarch with salt and pepper in a large bowl, then toss with tofu until completely coated.

  • Heat a very large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add oil, then tofu. Cook, turning the cubes occasionally, until crispy and golden-brown on all sides, 2 to 3 min. per side.
