Homemade white pizza sauceBy Chatelaine
1 1/4 cups
Switch things up by making a white pizza. Just as good as the red stuff, these pizzas taste great with sweet toppings like pear, mushroom and honey.
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1/3 cup finely grated Parmesan
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour until it has a paste-like consistency and is light brown in colour, 1 to 2 min.
- Pour in milk, whisking constantly, until mixture is smooth. Increase heat to medium and boil until mixture thickens, 4 to 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan until smooth. Let cool slightly before using.
