Switch things up by making a white pizza. Just as good as the red stuff, these pizzas taste great with sweet toppings like pear, mushroom and honey.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup 2% milk

  • 1/3 cup finely grated Parmesan

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour until it has a paste-like consistency and is light brown in colour, 1 to 2 min.

  • Pour in milk, whisking constantly, until mixture is smooth. Increase heat to medium and boil until mixture thickens, 4 to 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan until smooth. Let cool slightly before using.
