Glaze Icing

This no-fuss glaze icing recipe couldn't be simpler to make. It's perfect for cupcakes, cakes, and cookies, too.


  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 4 to 5 tbsp milk
  • gel food colouring , optional


  • Whisk together icing sugar, butter and corn syrup in a medium bowl. Add milk, 1 tbsp at a time, until mixture is thick but still runny. Add gel food colouring if needed.
  • Refrigerate in an airtight container up to 2 days. Bring to room temperature and whisk until smooth before using.
