2 tbsp chicken bouillon
1/3 cup uncooked converted rice
1/3 cup red lentils
1 tbsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp savoury
1/3 cup uncooked converted rice
1/3 cup green lentils
2 tsp butter, or margarine
8 cups water
Pour the ingredients in the order given into a 2 cup Mason jar, and screw on the lid.
When ready to make the soup, bring the butter and water to a boil in a large pot. Pour in the contents of the jar and add and veggies you wish, or make it as is without additions.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer until the lentils are tender (about 25 minutes).
