Baked Apple Packets
Here's a delicious, easy dessert. Serve straight from the packet or spoon over yogurt or ice cream. Also excellent with pancakes!
- Cut a 12 in. (30 cm) square of heavy- duty aluminum foil. Peel and thinly slice the apple, and arrange the slices in a mound in the middle of the foil. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Wrap the packet securely with a double fold (to keep it from leaking) and place on the grill of a barbecue or campfire over medium heat. Cook, turning once or twice, for about 10 minutes – or until the apple is soft. Let cool for a minute before eating.
