Pecan-Buttered Broccoli


  • Makes8 to 8 servings

Just one taste and I promise your kids will LOVE Pecan-Buttered Broccoli!


  • 2 large bunches broccoli

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans

  • salt, to taste

  • black pepper, to taste


  • Cut the broccoli stems into chunky pieces and the tops into individual florets. Place broccoli in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam until tender-crisp - about 5 to 8 minutes. Dump into a serving dish.

  • Meanwhile, combine butter and pecans in a small skillet and cook, stirring, over medium heat just until the pecans turn golden brown. Remove from heat immediately and pour over steamed broccoli. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
