Upgrade a classic ham and cheese with some leftover pork roast for a Cuban-style sandwich that's layered to impress. Yum!
Ingredients
- 2 slices multi-grain bread , toasted
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 120 g sliced pork roast
- 2 slices dill pickle
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat broiler on high.
- Spread 1 slice of bread with mayonnaise, top with roast pork, pickle and cheese, and place under broiler for 2 min or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Spread mustard on remaining bread and squish onto melted cheese to adhere.
Tip
Protein helps keep kids full and satisfied for longer, because it’s digested slowly.
